This document outlines the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use for the Event Street platform, operated by Vellar International Ltd, a company incorporated in Kenya with its principal office in Nairobi. By accessing or using the Event Street platform, you agree to both the terms and conditions herein as well as our data collection and handling practices.
1. Definitions
- Platform refers to the Event Street website, mobile application, APIs, and associated services.
- User, you, or your refers to any person who accesses or uses the Platform, including customers, event organizers, and hotel property owners.
- Company, we, or us refers to Vellar International Ltd.
2. Eligibility and Acceptance
You must be at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction to use this platform. By registering or using Event Street, you accept these terms in full. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.
3. Account Registration
Users must provide accurate and complete information when registering. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. Vellar International is not liable for any unauthorized activity under your account.
4. Use of the Platform
You agree to use the Platform for lawful purposes only. You shall not:
- Upload harmful or misleading content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation
- Attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt our systems
- Collect personal data from other users without consent
5. Commissions and Sales
If you are a business user (event organizer or hotel owner), you agree to the revenue share and payout terms outlined separately in your agreement with the Company. If you are a sales representative, you may receive commissions based on the Company’s internal payout policies, such as:
- 30% of net platform revenue (after tax and after the event organizer has been paid their net payout) for any event or hotel you directly onboard.
These commissions are paid after proper reconciliation and audit of sales and are subject to tax compliance.
6. Payments and Refunds
Payments are processed via MPesa and other payment gateways. All transactions are encrypted. Refunds are governed by the Company’s refund policy, which may vary depending on the event organizer’s or hotel’s own terms.

- Booking and purchase history
- IP address, device type, and browser information
b. Use of Data
- Process payments and bookings
- Contact you regarding your activity or account
- Analyze user behavior to improve services
- Prevent fraud and enforce platform rules
- Send marketing (with your consent)
c. Sharing of Data
We may share your information with:
- Payment processors and third-party service providers
- Event organizers or hotels you interact with
- Legal or regulatory bodies as required
We do not sell user data.
d. Cookies and Tracking
Cookies are used to track activity, save preferences, and deliver a better experience. You may opt out via your browser.
e. Data Security
We implement secure protocols and encrypt sensitive data. However, no system is completely secure. Use the Platform at your own risk.
f. Data Retention
Data is retained as long as necessary for legal and operational reasons, generally up to 5 years from your last interaction.
8. User Content
You may upload content (e.g. event descriptions, hotel images) under your account. You grant the Company a royalty-free, worldwide, non-exclusive license to use, publish, and display this content for promotional and operational purposes. You retain ownership of your content, but we reserve the right to remove any content that violates our terms or local laws.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if:
- You violate these Terms
- You engage in fraud or illegal activities
- You misuse Event Street’s services or reputation
10. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya and handled through arbitration or the courts in Nairobi.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update these Terms and the Privacy Policy at any time. Continued use of the Platform implies acceptance of the revised terms. Significant changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification.
